Default Oiling woes...

I have an 87 Evo 1340 and what I believe is a 99 5 spd trans. First off, anyone have a line on an accurate oil routing diagram of some kind that also shows runs for an external filter setup? Mine doesn’t have a filter port on the motor. I’m the picture, there’s a hose coming from the top of the trans not connected to anything. Is it just a top vent or, if it should be connected, where does that go? Thanks everyone!!

That's the transmission vent that would hang over the starter. The oil filter head would normally bolt to the back of the transmission with just one bolt straight down, threaded into the filter head. With no idea of what frame you're working with or what you're trying to make out of it all, that's about all I can give you for now.

Thanks everyone! I actually have two oil ports on the motor, side by side, on my setup. Trying to figure out which is which. (Inner and outer, level beside one another)

Blow air into the ports to see which port ends in the middle.

That J looking hose coming out of the transmission is a vent. It doesn't go anywhere. You can rotate it so it doesn't hang over the belt if you like.

The outer nipple is the oil feed from the tank.

The inner nipple is oil out of the pump, this hose should go to to the oil filter, then the other hose on the oil filter will return oil back to the tank.
