the problem is valvetran lubericity but the restriction is the size of the inlet port. SBC have .04” día port, evo B lifters somewhere around .085. S&s high rpm around .125”.
Two ways around this is Using a multi viscosity 20-50 oil versus Harley SAE 60 and increasing The diameter of the oil port in the lifter to increase volume of flow.
