David, I've missed you chaps as well, but unfortunately I'm writing this from hospital!
I had a health scare last August, which quickly turned out to require major heart surgery. I nearly died on the operating table (the surgeon told me), but I eventually saw the light of day once more some days later. However my recovery has been slow, which is why I am here again. Unfortunately I have an infection in one of my wounds, which is being targeted by the medics as I write.
So I have spent a lot of time in hospital, drained of all energy, which I'm pleased to say seems to be coming back.
I'm forbidden from lifting anything over 10 pounds at present, so the bikes are at rest for now.

WP50, many thanks for posting this and to all of you who have sent me good wishes. I am pleased to report that I came home yesterday from hospital, feeling much better than when I went back in a month ago. It may however be some time before I can ride again, but that is my ambition. More news as it breaks!
