Default It's ALIVE!

I just finished my first heat cycle with my Hillside topend rebuild consisting of 10:1 pistons, stage 2 headwork, woods 6 cam, thunderjet added to my super e and dynatek ignition.

What a scary event that first startup was! Thank god it went quick. After 3 or 4 5 second cranks to get the oil moving I installed the plugs and she fired up almost immediately. There wasn't much lifter noise at all.... she sounded like a harley should.

Does anyone have any advice on throttle control for the heat cycles? I know I'm not supposed to rev the engine much during the heat cycles (or while the engine is cold to prevent base gasket leaks) but I have also read that I shouldn't keep the enrichener on too long. What the best procedure? I ask because I stalled the engine about 1 minute in when I tried to decrease enrichment to almost nothing.

Once I get the heat cycles done I'll install my wego 3 and start tuning. I have already run the wego wires under the tank and rolled them up into the nacel of my Road King.

Cheers, time for a beer.

Call Scott at Hillside. He'll know exactly what to do.
