Default ‘97 flhr

‘97 FLHR, uses very little oil, not as strong as she once was, but still gets up when needed. I think a top end is in my, not so, distant future

oops, it would be if it were a ‘99... she’s a ‘97!
I edited it to the correct year.

I've known of a couple of guys who had the heads and valves cleaned up, ran a ball hone through the cylinders and just installed new rings on the stock pistons with very good luck. Cylinders still had the cross hatching on them at just about the mileage you show. .005 over pistons and boring is pretty cheap too if needed due to cylinder scarring.

Griz
