What are you all using for breather bypass catch cans? I'm venting to the ground but its putting a coating of oil and dirt under the bike. It's not hurting anything but if I had an oil leak I wouldn't know where to look for it. Just normal pm.and I just don't like it!
Thanks in advance.
Made my own...
insides of it looks like the above... put a different drain valve on, but basically like this one
made a couple clips that fit the down tubes perfectly
Mounted and in warm weather empty it when I do oil changes, flush it out from time to time...
Made it out of this aluminum canister, like $15 on amazon and it’s a very sturdy, good quality canister... then drilled it to vent from lower chamber to top chamber. Then some hose fittings... made a few different versions before I got it how I wanted. For comparison... was using a DK one, but had a misting issue, so I made this one with a larger canister to hold the oil/moisture so I could just deal with it at oil changes. The one in the middle screws on top of the one on the right...

post 627 I listed all parts I originally used... I have altered it a bit since then, but that’s the main things.. plus there’s a bunch of other ideas in that thread
I just use the DK Custom filter. It's mounted horizontally on the bottom frame just aft of the transmission case with a zip tie. No oil gets on anything if it's cleaned fairly regularly.
I had a sometimes misting issue with the small DK Customs can. I had some K&N foam pre-filter material and I cut it to match the diameter of the can, and put a hole in the middle of it. Put it up to the top where the vents are. The oil has no path to the vents now except through the K&N foam. Solved the problem. Only needs a quick empty every oil change and there isn't that much in there even then.

It looks like this, but it's chrome.
I use the same thing as my buddy from Texas. I saw them at O'Reily's Auto Parts a couple of days ago though. Might want to check there if you have one locally.

I like this one. If cheap enough I'd just replace it away when it gets saturated.
