Default Parts interchangeability?

I've got a 95 Dyna Convertible and would like to change a few things on it. My first would be the exhaust. It currently has a set of Vance & Hines that I'm sick of. They have an annoying rattle and vibration between 2200 & 2500 RPMs that's driving me nuts and they sound too raspy to me. I would prefer a stock set with some Screamin Eagles or something along those lines. I would also be interested is a seat switch, not that the stock seat is uncomfortable, I just like having a couple different seats to swap back and forth.
I have a good knowledge of what parts would work with the Twin Cam Baggers, especially 97-08s, but being that I'm new to Evos I don't really know what parts will work with what years. Is there much interchangeability with these bikes or are they more model year specific than the Twin Cam baggers?

I'll chime in.I have the stock crossover headers with Python slip-ons. They work fine for me on my '98 Convertible. Mine had the stock seat but I replaced it with a Lepera Daytona which was a nice seat but due to my long legs left me a little cramped. The Daytona was replaced with a Lepera Daddy Longlegs which sets you back about 2". Great seat if you need more leg room. I must say, the best money that I spent on this bike was a set of Bitubo shocks that I got from DK Custom Products. They made a world of difference in ride quality.

One more thing if you need more legroom, Im not a fan of forward controls so I got a set of the 2" more forward mid-controls that were stock on late model Dynas. Although the kit says for 2006 and up Dynas, they fit on my '98 with no issues at all.

Twinkie exhausts off a similar model as your Evo will bolt up. Buy the whole thing as someone's take-off. Pay attention to any late model changes they made. For dressers, up to like 08 works fine. I have a 2007 twinkie FLHT exhaust on my 86.

95-03 seems to be the years I've seen for parts that are interchangeable.

The Dynas were offered with fuel injection starting in 2004. 2006 was the major change with the bigger forks, 6-speed and cam chains/tensioners. My bet is that most things will interchange up through 2005.

Exhausts:
- I know that a DYNA full system up to at least 2011 will fit with minor work like plugging the O2 senor bung holes and drilling and adjusting the exhaust carrier.

- Most Slip-on mufflers will fit, I my self are running early Softail SE mufflers on my '98 Wide Glide.

Seats:
- H-D changed their DYNA seats in '96.
Best bet would be to check the aftermarket seats and see witch model years and models they fit.
Look up Mustang seats or likewise web site and check.
