Default toe and heel shifter

new to the whole Harley world, always had metric. till now, I have had a few metric that had the heel shifter and I would just cut it off . well I am not going to do that to my ultra classic. the problem I am having and have always had was that my foot is to big, I wear a 16 shoe.and i want to get rid of the heel shifter. is there a kit to eliminate the heel shifter?

Remove the rear lever from the shaft. You can move the forward lever to the end of the shaft and slip a spacer over the exposed area or leave the lever in place and buy a cap to cover the exposed shaft after removing the rear lever.

Kind of lost here, since my toes spend most of their time up on the highway pegs, and not on the floor boards (short of stopping or starting).
Plus, without the heal shifter, means your going to scuff the toe of your left boot having to shift the bike up gears.

All joking aside, would just pick up a set of extended reach shifter levers to give you more foot room on the floor boards.

Or pick your poison if you want to go with another look of extended shifter arms isntead.

Remove it, Harley and others make a cap for the exposed splines. Extended shift levers are also available which help with big feet and tall riders, run the extended lever on my Harley's

Stock, it is just a peg which you can un-screw from the lever. Do that first to see if it it gives you what you want. Then follow directions above to remove entire lever if that is what you want to do. Several times I have removed them from bikes for similar reasons, then I put it back later because I wanted the heel shifter. Good luck.

My foot was also too long to fit between the toe and heel shifters on the floorboard. I purchased an extended heel shifter lever and solved that problem. For me it is easier to find neutral with the heel shifter than the toe shifter.

I had a few metrics and the same as you I cut the heel shifter off.
Like mentioned the heel shifter can be removed and a cap placed over the splines for it.
Just gives a finished look to what is left
I have 4-5 heel shifters in the shop somewhere.

My 76 shovel had a heel/toe and I loved it. Definitely kept them on the ultra and RK. Even my size 16's fit fine as I usually kick 'em out a bit anyway.

The heel shifter was the first item I removed when I bought my my EG Ultra Classic.
Each to their own, for me that damn Heel Shifter was just in the way and I did not need it.
For 40+ years I never had one, never needed one. Removed from all bikes that had one.

Heel shifters are a funny thing, love them or hate them.

On my 2005 Road Glide, I left it but very rarely use it.

On my 1970 FLH, removed, missed it, put it back on and now is the only way I shift that bike.

But I never use it on my Roadie, go figure!?!??!!
