If you buy them new fancy M8s, the heel shifter is eliminated. Harley listened to their customers, or is it about cost cutting? Hmmm.... Once you start using the heel shifter, you won't go back.

I installed a set of floorboards on my FXRC. They came with a heel/toe shifter. I found the heel/toe setup didn't work for me. I got "slew feet" and couldn't get the heel part engaged. I found a longer shift lever at a swap meet and that works for me much better.

I removed the heel shifter on both my bikes. Made a spacer to keep the toe shifter in the outer most position. My buddy loves his heel shifter. Seems to be 50/50 love hate the heel shifter.

I don't think I would be able to power shift as fast as I can without the heel shifter.. I run a Baker 6 with the N1 shifter..
