Default 1991 flhtc

When I first acquired it from my father in law. Its been on a few road trips. Father in law acquired it in 2001 with 7800 miles on it. When I brought it home it had 48000 miles on it.

I brought it back into good riding shape. It had set up a few years. I had to install a stator, and a battery. Since then I've installed a bluetooth radio, removed the cb system, and made it where the tour pack can go off or on in minutes. I still have a few things I'd like to do but for now I'm just enjoying being on the road again.

It now has over 50000 on it and I've had it only about 2 1/2 months. I'd like o go to a 21 for the front tire, speakers in the lower fairing, 14 handle bars, all led lighting, do away with the frame work for the tour pack and go to quick detach, change over the handle bar controls to the bare minimum, horn, light controls, engine start, on/ off, turn signals that's it. Then a paint job, and possibly some other exhaust. Dependable is my only requirement the rest will be icing on the cake.

Pretty nice survivor including original paint.
Not really a "blue" guy but I can`t see paying to replace the factory paint

Good luck with your project !

No, I'm going to just relocate it to a toggle switch, that I'm going to put in the fairing.

Interesting, retaining the on/off rocker switch and adding a momentary toggle switch for actuation of the cruise? And changing the switch housings to non Ultra housings. At this time I am on the hunt for non Ultra switch housings to do the same thing, not sure if I am going to repair/retain the cruise or just go back to the throttle lock. Might end up with your momentary switch idea.

I came across a bin of switch control housings at the shop today. If you want to post up pics of your current left and right housings, I'll see what I can find.

Looks nice. Time to replace the lifters, by the way.
