Can`t argue a VIN decoder but FXRS is Low rider , Superglide is FXR
???? What???
EA is FXR...EB is FXRS
First FXR (S) was SuperGlide II... then ?? All Over the Map with Nomenclature.. including Low Rider... which is really Dumb...
Luckily FXR and FXRS ("P" "SP" and all that too) is all that is necessary!! To Me... The low rider will always be an FXS....Period...

Reason: rong
So I've had a good check over the bike and decided on a full strip down and rebuild. Seeping gaskets, frame rust etc etc and she's going to be a project to spanner on in-between riding the Dyna.
All going well on the tear down but some surprises along the way. Two of the rocker bolts were sat inside the cylinder head, one was resting against the outer valve spring
Anyway front cylinder is pulled, but I'm stumped on the rear. I can't get a tool in to loosen off the rocker box covers. The gap between the frame and the bolt is tiny. I've dropped the front motor mount and still no luck. Shy of grinding an Allen key down to fit I'm out of ideas.
Anyone have any tips or tricks? It's the bolt circled in the third photo
You can:
Remove the front motor mount and lower the engine.
Or:
Cut down an allen wrench to fit. Also, you can cut off a piece of the allen wrench and use a little gear box end wrench, or just turn it with an open end wrench.
