Default Spacers

For you guys who have put quick detach docking on older baggers, how did you shim it out and how much. Going on a 91 flhtc.

Using 2 of the spacers on my 89 worked fine. I believe the spacing difference is 1/2" per side. Have all the stuff to do it on the 87, just haven't done it yet.

There ain't mush of the 97 and up stuff that can't be adapted to the early frame. My 87 will have 14 and up bags and RG fairing eventually.

Kowboy are you going to be able to use the 14 bags without moving the battery? As for the docking station I may use one spacer behind. Thanks, it's ingenuity that keeps old bikes on the road.

Nope!. Did the battery relocation on my 89 with a sportster battery. Will go lithium on this one, the sporty battery just didn't have enough, and the 96" challenges the stock battery sometimes.
