Default 97 evo cam

what is the lift on the 97 evo stock cam? I'm switching to the EV-27 and was just wondering if I'll see a difference in power..........

.472 lift, duration 208-201 (int./exh)

Yes, you'll notice a big difference with little or no tuning adjustments. And don't be disappointed if you have a bit of valve noise, some do some don't

Consider the Wood 6 (ballpark equivalent to EV27). check the 'Cam Choice' thread: https://www.hdforums.com/m_3228446/tm.htm

Should I replace the lifters while I"m at it? The bike has around 9k on it.

I would. Evo lifters are a known weak point. Yours would probably last for quite a few miles yet, but why not do it while you're in there? I had two OEM lifters fail in 100k. I have Crane now.

You might as well, your already there. They don't need to cost much. I did the EV27 also.
