'93 FXR, want to convert to wide front end

Bronson.....that FXDX fork set-up you're going to use is what I would have used on the FXRT too. It has all the good stuff, a perfect up-grade, while still keeping the FXR the way it should be. Had an older dual disc 39mm, so to keep costs down too....went with the tried and true upgrades on it.......

I'm right in the middle of a frame off restoration for my '93 FXRS-CON. I've decided to go with a brand new (year 2000+) FXDX front end with the 4 puck disc brakes (dual disc), and the 13 spoke wheels. The FXDX forks have a decent cartridge system, and are fully adjustable. I like the 39mm narrow glide look, and I wanted to keep costs from getting out of hand. I also wanted to get rid of the air/oil forks with the funky buckhorn bars and Schrader valve at the end of the left grip.
Ramona, I love those Ceriani forks, but I knew if I got those, then I'd be getting Brembos and all the assorted hardware too. Poof...there went my budget! Maybe later.
