haha been there.. for about 8 months i had red saddlebags, matte black fenders and tank, gloss black fairing, no gauges, one whitewall tire, and two different rims. "when you going to finish it?" was phrase i heard pretty often. "finish? its on the road isnt it" was an answer i gave often

After 29yrs you tell me I can change the color ? I'm thinking that would erase most of the character it's aquired over the years.

You folks are right. #?@! everybody else, I'm just gonna paint it like that and run with it. Does anyone know what that style paint job is called though?

I would just get a picture and take it to the artist. I don't think it should be all that complicated or expensive for a good painter.

Well here it is. Took us awhile to nail down the exact color blue that I wanted but it turned out pretty #%*^ing good if I do say so myself. I'm just ready to put it back together and get it back on the highways of America.

That light blue is not far off what I've chosen for my bike. Parts due to go to the paint shop any day now!

That's gonna look good man, looking forward to seeing pics of it put back together. Black & blue make a great looking scheme.
