Default Softail wheel on a bagger?

I've got a fatboy rear wheel that I'd like to put on the '95 Ultra.. Anyone done it?? I just found out that the rotor bolt pattern is significantly larger and it looks like the offset is different.. Suggestions and experiences are needed, I'm ready for a tire..

I know of sealed bearing FatBoy wheels that have been adapted to RKs, including machining the centre of the hub to take 1" sealed bearings. That is how I got the idea to try a Deuce wheel in my Glide.

What year is your FB wheel? Fitting is likely to be easier if it has 3/4" tapered roller bearings. From what I have read on HDF the sealed ball bearing wheels won't bolt straight in, but need some adjustments or tweaks.

Thanks Grahm.. I did run through your wheel thread, because I thought it would be similar. The issue I have is really nothing to do with the axle. Its an older Fatboy wheel that I had on the Wide Glide for a while, so it fits a '94 with no problem. Tapered roller 3/4" bearings rather than sealed, which I why I thought it would just bolt right up. But, the bagger wheel('95) has a funky bolt pattern on the rotor side. I plan to mess with it a bit more today to see if I can just change the rotor. But, it looks like the offset is different on the wheel, which would put the rotor and pulley in the wrong spot, requiring some spacer work. Also, the bagger rotor is .025" thicker than the Dyna stlye rotor..

Oh, meant to ask, did you have to do something different with your rotor? I'm wondering if there is an addapter available..

I forgot about the old thick iron brake rotor, I've been wrestling with later wheels recently! I originally swapped from a tapered roller wheel to a 1" sealed ball wheel, complete with later swingarm and brake caliper, so made a clean sweep. I'll put my thinking cap on!

OK, I found it... Bikers Choice makes the adapter..

Here's the rotor I'm dealing with.. Apparently, its just the standard '86-99 FLH rotor. This adapter should fit this rotor to my ST wheel..
