Default Oil Filter opinion

I need to do an oil change on my 95 FXDL. This will be the first Time I have changed the oil myself since I got the bike in FEB.
Was just wondering if this filter was worth or should I just go and get the Harley filter

my GFs evo takes the k&n 170b (black) or the 170c (chrome) about $9.99

a K&N rep told me not to use the 173 with an evo , something to do with the antidrane back valve

I just get the Harley ones. They are cheap enough.

Sixteen bucks for an Evo oil filter is nuts. Even dealership prices are a bargain compared...

the HD evo filters are 7 or 8 bucks in black at my local dealership an the k&n are 13 at the indy. He swears by them an it's the only filter he carries. If he's doing you fluid change an you want a different filter you have to provide it.

I use genuine Toyota filters for a 22R motor. Same spec. Look it up. Otherwise, the K&N or WIX filters should both be top quality. I don't buy phram. Supertech at walmart is OK, though.

I always used K&N, mainly for the welded nut, I just got a Drag Spec. filter and that had the nut welded onto the end, $5 cheaper..

Always used the Harley filter just to support the local Harley shops since I don't buy much else there.
