Cruise control
Could try one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400205857076...84.m1423.l2649
True, but we all use it for redneck cruise control when the road is empty anyway.
Does anyone know how many pulses per mile a stock Harley mechanical speedo puts out to the turn signal module? Would also be nice to know if the signal is square or sine, and the typical voltage of the pulse. I need to figure out if this can be used to drive an aftermarket cruise control system. I called HD and they don't have a clue, and to find a speedo manufacturer I think I have to go to Taiwan.
When I changed the cruise on my 1989 Ultra, I found the following. I had to remove the '89 cruise completely. I used the cruise wiring kit to go with the new cruise control harness. It just was ran along the main harness. In the newer cruise, it had the new handlebar switch with "Set/Resume. The older ones have only "Set".
Just remember. Adding Cruise to a bike that has all kits obsolete is a major job. Just to find the equipment is a lot of work.
Good luck.
Don't know what else you will need, but there is the servo assy for an '89 on eBay

The ECM used 1990-92 also bolted in the same place but used a different servo.

Well, I don't know, but from my experience just running additional wires to add the necessary signals is a lot less work than ripping out the entire harness and replacing it.
I'm thinking that my best solution so far is the bulletproof Audiovox aftermarket cruise control system (not the old one that requires a vacuum line connection and reservoir -- the new one that is all-electronic). All I really need right now to make a decision is the # of pulses per mile that the reed switch in the speedometer generates. The control box has to be configured with that info.
You could try the Kuryakyn Iso Grips wit the throttle Boss. The throttle boss part adjusts to where it works best. Most of the time cramped hands on an otherwise healthy riders usually means the rider is holding on to the bars way to tight. Try relaxing your grip a little, that may help. Hope this helps.

You can't go wrong with the audiovox. I have a '97 Low Rider. could not find an electronic cruise control anywhere. dealer told me "you can't put one on a dyna". I installed a Rostra (maker of Audiovox). Works great. Don't have any shots of it. But, it is a simple install. true - you need a speed sensor ($20.00) because Harley will not tell you anything about the speed sensor, especially the pulses per mile. They know what you're talking about, they're just not talking. I also purchased a "matchbox" switch and mounted just under the left side turn signal switch. The switch is identical to the switch used on Victory Motorcycle cruise controls. The speed sensor and switch are also made my Rostra. My speed signal is located on my swingarm and have to look for it to see it. BTW, I mounted the cruise control module on the left side of the swingarm, encased in a tool kit-looking leather bag.

CORRECTION. My bike is a 2007 LowRider. AND, the throttle intake already had the cable attachment point and pole where the Dealer said it was'nt. Overall, it was about $250.00 for module plus parts. bought it a local truck parts store.

The Cruise control has it's own harness. You just lay it along side the main harness.
