I had no idea how many elements there are to a vin number but I am going to see the bike tomorrow, if the owner replies again tonight, I will check the fifth and sixth digits and more details then.

Owner skipped the details on the actual miles on the bike... Will see tomorrow. Cautiously optimistic.

Look it over good , I feel from what is shown from the pics it's 4-5k. I am fussy and it took me 2 yrs to find the fxrs-sp that was extra clean. They are out there........ take your time and find the correct model for you.

They will actually be letters. EA through EM, to be exact. Here's what they mean:

EA FXR (Super Glide II)
EB FXRS (FXR Sport/mag wheels, dual disc)
EC FXRT (Sport Glide, “T” for touring)
ED FXRP (Pursuit Glide/Police w/windshield)
EE FXRDG (Disc Glide)
EF FXRP (Pursuit Glide/Police w/fairing)
EG FXRS-SP (Low Rider Sport Edition)
EH FXRD (Grand Touring Edition, “D” for Dresser)
EJ FXRC (Custom)
EK FXRP (Pursuit Glide/Police/CHP Version)
EL FXLR (Low Rider Custom)
EM FXRS-CON (Convertible)
