Default Evo dyna for me?

I'm looking for a second bike to my '11 KTM that I commute on. I was about to Pull the trigger on a 2012 fat bob, but cancelled it due to the amount of money I'd owe and the fact I can't mess with it as much as an older bike. I'm a big DIYer and avoid dealerships at all costs. My limited research has pointed me to a later model evo as I'd rather have a bike I can work on and repair myself. I'm looking for early-mid 90's dynas right now. Am I on the the right track? I want the 2013 street bob look in the back (bobber fender, solo seat) and twin discs up fronts with drag bars like the fat bob but be an older school bike.

$5000 in cash will buy you one in good shape. Look at eBay completed auctions, tey ain't selling for nothing compared to asking price.

If your looking for a bike you can work on yourself and not have to rely on the dealer a evo dyna is perfect. It sounds like you should be looking for a superglide or low rider. They both have dual front discs but the low rider has a speedo and tach on the tank and it has mid controls and highway pegs. The superglide has a speedo mounted to the bars and only mid controls. Both have the same sheet metal except for the gas tanks.

Thumbs up

I don't see much difference between an Evo and a TC for working on at home, but hey, we are here to encourage Evo ownership!

I found a '96 dyna glide with 44k miles on it for $3998.... I'm scared of the milage, but the price sounds pretty good. I'm going to go check it out.

44k is nothing for an Evo unless it's been seriously abused.
