mk2 , did the dealers ay anything about a warranty ? from what you posted it could be the seats on the rear head , if you have room to carry extra oil & don't hammer it to much it should run all summer , but oil spots will cover the rear tire & rest of your bike so be careful on corners

Just to quickly rule out an engine to primary leak, check to make sure your primary fluid is at it's proper level. A leaky seal will quickly fill up your primary cavity with engine oil.

Run it and monitor closely
Mk2, If I were in your situation, I'd ride it through the summer and closely watch my oil level. That said, I'm no expert.

Well, I broke down and took it to the local Indy yesterday. It was progressively getting worse and really burning thru some oil. Hoping I'll hear today what they found. First real family vacation is planned for next month so I'm really hoping this doesn't break the bank.
