My 85 FLTC is going to need tires soon and was wondering where to get the best deal. I refuse to buy from the stealership.

 

Bought my last set from a dealership, so I'm no help. Removed the wheels/tires from the scoot and they swapped them out while I waited.

What brand tires you looking at? I've always run the stock Dunlops, but starting a 'what tire is best' thread is akin to a 'what oil is best' thread....

 

I take my Harley wheels into my local Yamaha dealer, having ordered my tyres from them in advance. They have good prices and coffee! Any bike or tyre shop can supply, some will fit to a lose wheel, so phone around. Much easier to deal with someone close to home IMHO!

 

The internet has many sites that have good deals on tires.

The best place I have found to have them mounted is a local indy.
$33 a tire (If I bring in the wheel) and they do a better job than the dealership.

The local indy works on all kinds of bikes not just Harleys.

 

I'm really liking my Dunlop Elite 3 tires and the best deal I found when I last bought some was at Jake Wilson.
