Time for new rubber
I did a search on mitz 888 and the 402. Most info was from touring forum so.................not much on follow the leader crap
Don't really care much on wear. I do ride all year round. So a little ice and a bunch of rain on ole Stormy 2 up half the time
Avons? Mitz? Or. Please just guys here that ride more than 5000k a year. No 1400 miles revues needed My tires will never see dry rot with 10,000. 13,000 a year
I need to do this in the next 2 days. Lol
Thanks guys. I trust your opinion here

My vote goes to the Dunlop Elite 3's.
That is what I will be switching to when I wear out my 491 Elite II's.
The E3 is supposed to be a better tire and the only time I got my E2's to slip was at take off in the rain with a bald tire. I got about 10 k out of the rear twice now (I just put on a brand new one when I changed rims).

I've used mostly Avons on my Harleys, since the '70s and have used several Venoms, now a Cobra up front. Be aware they use higher pressures than stock, so check their website or ask in here if you buy them. They are more compliant than stock Harley tyres, so are more comfortable to ride, also give excellent grip in all conditions. As they are British old chap (albeit owned these days by Cooper) they have to deal with our very changeable weather!
