A/C Install (wrong model or missing something)
1996 Road King EFI
I was attempting to install a Mach 2 CO-AX onto the ride. Reading the install instructions and looking at the set up, it seemed geared only towards a carb model, but it said it fit with my bike.
I thought maybe I was missing a step here. I pulled the stock set up off, and it is more rectangular, when all the brackets/gaskets/etc that the new on came with are round, like they are set up for a carb.
I went to the Kuryakyn website, and did the whole "shop for my bike", and looked up air cleaners. This particular one came up but not the #9569 that I ordered, but #9566. However, even on the #9566 version, the install instructions (looked up) show the same round circular, single air intake/valve, versus the clear rectangular and dual intake/valve set up my bike has.
I'm wondering if this particular model of A/C is made only for carb models, or as I stated previously, maybe I'm just missing something. I just don't see how either of these can mount to the throttle body as intended.
Insight is appreciated.
