Default V&H BSS baffles

I just purchased a 2006 Super Glide with what looks like V&H BSS exhaust. It is very loud and not exactly the deep tone I was hoping for.

First, do you think that the previous owner may have removed the baffles entirely? Secondly, would other baffles give me the sound I am looking for, like the BCT's or perhaps the V&H quiet baffles to quiet them down a little?

Thanks,

Larry

Larry I don't think anyone wants to/or can answer your question because sound from your bike is personal....how would we know what you want for sound? As far as the baffle being removed....look up the pipe and see if one is in there.
Enjoy your Glide and be careful

I would give the quiet baffles a try. I have them in my BSS and I like them. They were too loud for me with the original baffles.

I have Shortshot Staggered on my 98 Fatbot. I was wondering how much of a difference it was with the quiet baffles. Did it change the tone at all, just make it a little more quiet, or make it a lot more quiet?

From what I have read on this forum and elsewhere, the tone is lowered and a 3 - 6 db drop. So it is only slightly quieter, but a deeper more Harleyish tone. Mine will arrive next Tuesday. As soon as I get them installed I will do a post.
