I have a 2003 Electra Glide Standard with a carb.
Sometimes the thing will have trouble starting and take a few tries after I shut it off and try to start it again.
Usually happens after I am out riding and stop for a short time, then go to leave.
I start it the same way all the time. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?
Nope. Everything is exactly the same as the day I picked it up. Like I said, it doesn't always happen and I don't see a pattern to when it does. Just a little embarrasing when it pops and sounds like a gun going off!
You say you start it the same way all the time. If you just ran it and go to start it again, don't pull the enricher, don't pump the throttle before firing. If it doesn't start, give it one maybe two trottle pumps and try again.
Yea, I thought operator error the first couple of times and tried some different methods. I am hoping that they can see something at my 10,000 mile check-up coming up.
Thanks for the suggestions though!
