vance / hines 400 eliminators owners
Looking for some feedback from owners on this new(er) exhaust pipes from V/H's. I have owned 3 sets of V/H pipes on other bikes but not on my Ultra.
I am specifically looking at the chrome with black end caps.
I want the deeper sounds not chasing the racy sound and want to make sure my purchase of components ends up with a good stage I set up. Not looking for more horses but don't want any to get out of the barn either.
There are very few reviews online for the Eliminators and most look to be bogus/generic.
At the same time, these are out of stock almost everywhere.
So are they popular or are they having delivery or quality issues?
So who's got 'em or at least know someone who has 'em?

Surely now, nearly 10 months after the original post, more members have these pipes...giving this a bump b/c I am interested in these slip-ons too. matt76cmich, I was told by a V&H rep that the twin slash has the 2.25" baffle and the 400's have a 2.5" baffle but sound nearly identical. With that in mind I did find a youtube clip comparing the Twins to the Rino 4" and they sounded very similar but V&H was a little raspier. Opinions please...

Thanks ardakota, I was torn between these and the Rinehart 4". I ended up ordering the 400's b/c I think they are very similar but were $125 cheaper. My brother has the Rino's on his RK w/DD, these are going on my CVO w/ DD. We are going to do a video of the two (idling, riding steady speed, taking off, etc.) so others will have a good comparison. Will post it here and CVO forum when complete.

Just recently got these after doing a stretched rear kit on my bike. I had the Vance & Hines dresser ovals and really like the way they sounded, but after blacking out quite a few parts, I realized I wanted to blackout the exhaust too. Also I wasn't 100% sold on how the ovals looked with the stretched bags, not bad, but I think the round looks better. Anyways I was hesitant to change, but man I really love the way these Eliminator's rumble. They might be a touch louder, but they have a real nice low throaty sound to them. Very pleased, and one of the better priced items from V&H.
