I have a 2000 dyna super glide and I am thinking about cutting the 45 degree bevel off the exhaust but my main concern is it will sound like crap after it's done. Does anybody know what will happen if I do cut it off?

 

Stock slip ons online are fairly cheap. Most likely it would get slightly louder. Why would you be doing it? Looks? Or sound? Sound it probably wouldn't make too much of a difference unless you cut further up.

 

The reason I want to is because I'm gonna wrap with black wrap and don't want Chrome showing.

 

Could always sand and paint it.

 

the 45* extends past the major part of the pipe?? then it should have zero effect as it is only cosmetic.
