Can I make my exhaust quieter?
Hey all,
I recently purchased an 06 dyna Street Bob. It has Rinehart pipes and they sound awesome but today I rode for about three hours and dang I could use a break from the noise. The tone is perfect but it doesn’t really fade out at speed. I’m hoping I can find some baffles to help me out I want drivers to know I’m there but I’d like some reprieve for my ears. I suppose I could wear ear plugs but I don’t want to have too. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks and happy riding.

I've had Rinehart's before an like the sound but they are loud. You might be better off either selling them or trying to trade them for quieter mufflers.
not cheap but here: https://rinehartracing.com/product/quiet-baffles/

You could also try DKCustoms Thunder Torque Inserts. In my pipes they have a nice idle, quiet cruise and can really bark when you twist your wrist.

I had the same issue on my '19 Heritage and the Rinehart slip-ons. Loved the sound, but just way too loud for long rides. Since the baffles were not removable I used some muffler packing material and that decreased the annoying highway sounds. I bought the Drag Specialties repacking kit from J&P Cycles. Less than $20 and fixed the issue. Good Luck!!
