if its polished stainless you could polish it out by hand with a few minutes time and some elbow grease.

if its chrome….eww. Chrome is lame.

 

Yes, it's chrome and laser etched. I compared it to some laser etched sockets and it looks identical. I polished the socket and managed to get it all off but it's still visible in the right light. I'm hoping to have time tomorrow to contact the vendor and S&S and reach a reasonable resolution.

Finally had time to contact vendor this morning. After explaining the situation to the rep, he agreed to waive the 15% restocking fee but not the shipping. He said no one's ever complained about it before. He also said if I had phoned in the order I would have been told about the branding. Apparently, they knew about it, they just don't tell you unless you call and talk to them. I expected better from this company. They have a good reputation in the biker community but I'm beginning to wonder why. The two times I've dealt with them have left me unimpressed. I don't think I'll be doing any more business with them. Caveat emptor.

 

And the vendor behind door number one is.....?

I have the S&S Sidewinder 2-1 and it has the Race Only. Couldn’t care less. Pipe is awesome. But. My extended bag kinda hides it. But wouldn’t care if it didn’t.

But I agree. They need to update the photos. And if that vendor is who I think. Ya. I’ll never be using them again.

 

I've been holding off naming them hoping they would step up and do the right thing. But it doesn't look like that's going to happen. The vendor in question is Fuel Moto. I'm sure others have had positive experiences with them. Unfortunately, I haven't.

 

The bad PR is going to cost them more than what a shipping label would have cost them I'm thinking.

 

Have you tried contacting them via private message? They are a great company and a huge supporter of this forum.
