Default 95" upgrade

I would appreciate any opinions some of you withexperiencehavefor a set up I am considering. I have a 03 roadking (TC88) that I will be installing 95" jugs, SE CNC HTCC ported heads andHTCC pistons. Will the SE 571 cams be a good match for all around torque?

The best set-ups here are OE ported heads with compresion releases installed, stock barrels bored over. and Forged pistons with 4cc, 9cc or 12cc pop-ups, to adjust your compresion accordingly.

IMO, the S&S .570s, HQ .575s, HQ 0039s or TC-500s, Woods TW-6s or the mystic R&R .525s are the best cams for the job!

If you ride mostly one up, id go 10 to 1 compresion or 10.5 if fuel permits (93 oct.) and a HQ or Daytona Twin Teck ingnition module.

The SE httc stuff is a waste of good money!

More than a few of us wished we had bought kits right off the bat from HQ or GMR or R&R and Zippers instead of messing with the SE stuff!

I have been reading that a lot of you are saying the SE parts are not the way to go. My problem is that I bought them after someone recommended them but before I was reading these forums. I have all these parts already and figured I would go ahead with the install and hope I could match the right cams with the other parts.

PM Doc1--he seems to know more about the SE stuffand is very helpful.

On the other hand, why not sell what you have instead of putting more $$$ into something that may not work at all.

Final thought, Latus Harley Davidson does a lot of work with SE stuff; try calling them or shooting an email to them about what you have, how can it work at its best, and what that "best" is.

Well, if you sent your OE stuff to say Head-Quarters they basicly blueprint your parts and correct the compresion. R&R will CNC your heads for around 950$ and correct all the small flaws.
and they will work like Swiss watch....

Or you "correct" all the short commings in the HTTC parts you have already bought for more $$$to make it work properly!

mdelbello, what about selling your new heads and pistons on Ebay to someone who really wants them, and then either purchasing the SE High-Performance heads for porting or having your stock heads ported? If you got a good deal on your SE HTCC heads, and consider the costs of correcting them for your build, perhaps this is a road to consider.
