Head Temp....
There's a lot of variables. Like outside temperature.
I took my head temps using an infrared thermometer pointing the laser dot about an inch to the left of the spark plug. Outside temp was 65 the first time and 60 the second time.
My first test was done with a Terminal Velocity II fuel mngt unit, K&N air kit and Rush mufflers with 2 inch baffles. I ran the test cause I didn't think the TVII was working right and the engine still seemed hot. I ended up with 320 degrees on the front and 350 degrees on the rear. Another member up here ran my tests with a bone stock bike and got 305 front and 320 degrees on the rear. It was mid 50's the day he ran his test.
Then we both tried Nightriders O2 IED's which is two wires that jump in between the O2 senors and alters the voltage. Basically does the same thing that setting your closed loop bias table to 798 does. It lowers your AFR to 14.2. Except Nightrider only charges $69. Instead of paying $500 for a SERT.
O2 IED's results were dramatic for both of us lowering the Head temperature around 100 degrees cooler on the rear cylinder to 250 degrees in my case. Outside temperature was close to the same as first test.
