CVO 103 head porting?
Never heard of any welding needing to be done. Most shops just un-shroud the valves, polish up the bowls, and clean up the ports on Twinkie heads.................

Zipper's is coming out with a performance package which includes some head work and new pistons. they don't weld the heads but use domed pistons to accomplish the same thing. Check it out here: http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB...38152475/30#30 They are also coming out with just a cam upgrade if you don't want to go to all trouble of the head work.

Banana Boat,
I will have the first heads from Zippers here shortly within 3 weeks. I believe though they did do some welding to and then created a CNC process to redo the intake / Exhaust and chamber. These heads are setup to run with the 103 motor and the 113 motor.
The cam your refering to is called the 575 cam I have it in my wife's Pumpkin an it was the test bike. It will be available in both gear drive and chain drive depending on the customer. They are currently cutting a new cam master for the gear drive and expect general availability in under 60 days. I am hoping they bring a few to Daytona.
Others that are welding the heads up are Short Block Charlie, John Sachs, R&R in New Hampshire. R&R as I was told runs theirs at 11.0 to 1 compression. Short Block runs his at 10.0 using 55g or the 585 S&S and I know john also likes the 55g, but havent consulted him on this topic specifically.
If you need more info's let me know or email me.

The 103 heads are big in chamber volume I have seen a great range of cc volume as well ranging from 92-96. SOme shops wels them and then re-cut the chamber , or you can use a dome piston to help out with low compression. There are several ways to get compression back into the engine.
