Default V&H slipon's

Hi Guy's; Ive got V&H slipon's and I love them but I was wondering I can see through them so is there a baffle in there or noty I see ridges on the sides and a small screw holding that in but there is still a 2 inch opening all the way through so is that considered a baffel please let me know sometimes I am as dumb as a box of rock's !

Your mufflers have a 2" baffle. The V&H slip-ons (not the Ovals) are a straight through design. You say you can see "ridges", that is part of the baffle. The "ridges" are actually small openings that absorb some of the sound. At least that's my discription. Maybe someone else can give you a more detail explaination or picture.

The ovals have a different baffle system. I'm not sure if you can pull the bafflesor not. But why would you want to? Ifyou are looking for a muffler that you can pull the baffles and get maximum volume then the ovals are not the ones.

There is a baffle in it ,it looks like a cheese grator,it can be removed with the screw at each end of the slipons,
I have the V& H slipons myself,I removed them and put in the quiet baffles.
It sounds better and deeper with the quiet baffles in them, everybody has there own preferences.
hope this helps.

cna yo get these "quiet baffles" from vance and hines? besides the obvious question of being quieter, what was the differnace in the sound?
