Default Modify stock muffs??

I have an 06 FLHT standard. Runs great but quiet as a mouse. I don't want thundering pipes but the wispers comming out of the stock muffs is rediciules. Paid cash for the bike so Im broke for a while, meaning no true duels, or slip-ons for now.
Looking into the back of the mufflers I see a "plug" which what looks like a tiny weep hole in it. If I were to drill that out, say a half inch hole, would that help?
Would that give me a little more noise or just sound like a stock muffler with a hole drilled in it?

Your thoughts please,

Thanks,

Doug

Did some searching and found the answer. Sounds like a bad idea (sounds bad too).

Thanks,

I know you said you didn't have alot of cash right now but what I did for about 350.00 total was get the screamin eagle slip ons. I think they sound great and it is all still Harley. Just a thought.

You got the answer there. It's a bit louder but sounds poorly IMO. Not a good sound at all.
