New Pipe Question
I own a 2004 Fatboy with stock pipes and screamin Eagle11 slipons, the engine is bone stock with the exception of a hy flow air filter kit
and the dyno-computer set done when I installed the air kit and pipes. I am going to install some Vance and Hines Big Shot Staggerds
this weekend and have a few questions :
1. Will I have to take the bike back to the dealer and have them put it on the dyno and recalibrate my computer for these pipes
2. How much more performance if any can I expect from these
3. If anyone has these pipes what are the plus-minus of having the baffles in or out and how do they sound with and without the baffles
(my bike is fuel injected)
Thanks,John

RE: New Pipe Question
Welcome to the board...
I just bought the V&H stag., PCIII, and Stage One Airkit... Mine is getting installed and dynoed next week...
If you change out the exhaust it should change the backpressure so I would think that you have to have the system remapped. Are you running a SERT (Screaming Eagle Race Tuner) or a PCIII (PowerCommander III)? I don't know a whole lot about the SERT... but the PCIII you can download the maps from dynojet's website (powercommander.com)... Seems like a lot of people have had good luck with their maps. I am personally going with a custom map but that is because these are the first "big" mods I am doing to the fatboy.
