Case boring is the only way you would establish the 97" Axtell kit,(3 13/16" bore) or a 96" S&S Sidewinder (4 5/8" crank/3 5/8" bore).
Largest production S&S stroker crank is 4 5/8", which yeilds 89" without case boring, although 4 3/4"(92") is available on a custom order basis.
We use the 4 3/4" arms, in Shovels, when they want more, or the crank is so beat, that the cost effectiveness cannot warrant re-building the OE.
All in all, the 80" powerplant, with re-worked heads, Wood 6 cam, carb mods, and pistons(only if needed) and ignition, is in fact, the biggest bang for the dollar out there. Increased fuel economy, smoother running, and just a fun little straightforward combination, that goes and goes.
