crazy compression question
You will notice a difference, regardless of the CR. Why not use the releases, all the time, just get in the habit. Get some Yooper (don't know if those are around any more) or similar heavy duty battery cables, use the releases and extend batter and starter life. You may find it hard to believe but a nasty heat soaked kick back could tweak the crank. It doesn't take all that much on the '07 and later engines.
Does anyone know if the 2010 FLHTCU stock bikes come with the automatic compression release? I understand that the unlimited version does.
And if not, I wonder if they already have the wiring harness for the compression release? I can't find a part number for past 2008 versions....?

If you have the releases I would recommend using them to ease up on the battery and starter, also better coil saturation. If you don't have any compression releases and wish to install them I always recommend the mechanicals over the electronics, less apt to stick, cheaper, and simpler by far.
