Default screamin eagle 51mm SE carb 27926-02 or 27928-07?

does anyone know the difference between the screamin eagle 51mm SE carb kits 27926-02 or 27928-07? I want to put one on my 120 ultima on a 95 flhtcu. I am pretty sure I will have to buy another manifold - not sure which one. thanks.

Good question, I'm considering doing the same. What did you come up with?

Thanks,
Kenny

Well where the hell else am I supposed to turn to for this type of VALID question?

I don't look at dates as a means of not being able to get a valid response

Fair enough, however the person you asked, has not been "here" since 2011

You do not want an SE manifold. They don't flow fer crap. You want an adapter that connects to a G manifold. When you do this, you might have the top cover hitting the tank. Tman used to make a manufold that worked well but IIRC he used older sandcast D manifolds for base stock..

I believe that the main difference between the 02 and 07 is that the 07 does not come with a manifold.

Max,

Is it the larger SE CV51 manifold with 1.75" runners that flows poorly, part number 29414-07? Or is it the smaller runner size SE CV51 manifold that has 1.65"ish runners?

You are right, I've not seen that one and it would be the one to use.

I've not see one but then my experimenting with carb flow all happened before 2007. At that time the only SE manifold had the 1.65,

If that's the case by all means try the 29414-07.

A manifold with 1.75 runninders will flow better but not as good as a G / D manifold with 1.8 runners. On these manifolds the flow is pretty much set by diameter the runner since the CV51 has basically a 2 inch venturi.

The SE manifold will likely be a better choice than a G / adapter in that it will fit the more inside so that it will have less chance of the top of the carb hitting the tank.
