Default American Iron Magazine Build

American Iron Magazine was here all day today, shooting the 98"/Wood 9B/51mm HPI t/body/our Stage III head/Supertrapp build.
Very time consuming process, with all the pics, and questions, but all has gone very smooth. Very smooth in fact.
They'll be back in the morning to take the last shots of the Dorherty Power Pacc air cleaner, and 2/1 Supertrapp being installed.
At that point, we'll heat cycle it, test ride, re-adjust valves if need be, test ride again, then back to the tuner(www.joescyclerepair.com) for the "after" dyno work, as "before" numbers have been established.
Looking forward to the outcome.
Scott

Very cool. Do you know what issue it will be in? And what kind of numbers will it make?

We were told that it should hit the news stands mid-winter.
Have seen very high teens with very similar combinations many times in the past.

Scott, thats great.

What Lifters did you use?

I seems hung up on lifters but all that rattling was dissapointing me when I got back into riding after a long time. Was very distracting.

Bob Wood supplied his new lifters, as well as his roller chain conversion kit.

We recieved word from www.joescyclerepair.com over the weekend, in regards to the power output.
So far, and it is incomplete, he has alerted us to 120.1 hp and 109.6 ft/lbs. SAE. Room temp was 102 plus, barometer was in the tank, and humidity(?), well that was horrible, and when that is so high, the engine is being introduced to mucho water vapor, and as we all know, water does not burn very well.
Has not touched the 26 disc's we initially installed, yet.
Turn's into a back/forth procedure with those exhausts, but well worth the effort.
Once he does, more fuel/ignition tuning will be needed, as we see the same here on our Dynojet 150.

Hi Scott, just want to say thanks for the GREAT JOB you guys did on the america iron bike. This bike pulls like crazy! ,all the way up to 6800 rpm. I was the lucky owner of this build. Runs great, yet still drive it every day. very reliable thanks again. Frank Bottone, would highly recomend your shop to freinds.
