Proactive lifter change-
1. Do I really need the pushrod clip installation tool?
2. Does anybody have experience with these lifters- are they decent for a stock 110?

2. If there is wear on the lifters, there may be wear on the cams.
3. At least inspect the surface of the cams for wear and or pitting.
4. If there is wear on the cams also and you do not replace them, you will be going back in to replace the cams and lifters again in a short while.

When mine was new, I did cams, lifters, and pushrods. I would now go the extra step, and go with some aftermarket heads like Hillside, with their valve springs to prevent any possible issues caused by the HD springs in those heads.

As for the idea as keeping them matching set, look how often some people try different cams. I suspect they are not changing lifters.
