Not impressed with cams!

If you ever run into Mike Roland at a major bike event, talk to him. He is very personable and will explain anything you want to know. His cam power numbers are far better than anyone elses I've seen (if they are true). He seems to be the real deal and he fired up that crusher bike they have oin the website. It sounds healthy but very streetable. It makes a claimed 120 HP 110 Torque from a 95 CI TC.
You can check out their numbers here.

I havn't run their cams yet, but I was going to before August 12th happened.
good luck

You are right, Mike is a great guy, he tuned my bike. My specs are below.

Matching a cam to a certain level of compression is very important. We like to see a cam make in the 9.0 > 9.3 dynamic compression range. This will allow the cam to work well in all areas of the rpm band and still not have issue's with ign ping
have to agree with phil m regarding larry harding, he's one of the best around. btw doubt he would recommend staying with the kury akyn air cleaner last i knew he used the doherty machine powerpaccs exclusively on his builds and mostly the woods cams.
northern cali, they will still dyno, just won't tune here. When i told them i had a mikuni they freaked out. they told me they would run it but i would have to tune. not worth 100 an hour for me to fumble with it.
What are you doing with the 95 build? Did you just order pistons and bored jugs or are you doing head work also? I'm contemplating putting in just the pistons and jugs, but some are telling me that it is a waste of time unless you port the heads.
I am having head work done too. I stopped by today and they are way hogged out! plus I went to a 1.94 intake valve. we will see what happens. I don't think anthing is "just a waste of time". take a look at the numbers the kuryakyn guys are getting with stock heads. plus if its a budget build you can always yank the heads and get them done next winter.
OK now its a runner! I finally figured out why it was flat in the top, my petcock wasnt flowing enough fuel. now it pulls all the way trough. the 95" kit helps too. this thing flat gets it. here is the list now
Weisco domed 10.5:1 pistons big bore
factory jugs bored at local machine shop
heads ported and bwls blended same machine shop
1.94 intake valves and 3 angle valve job
kuryakyn cams
SE thick head gaskets bringd the compression down to 10:1
seat of the pants, messy
still have to tune the thing I am close though bigger main jet is in order.
