I'm considering this one, not really sure why but guess it doesn't matter.

I know it uses your stock football cover, but what I can't tell is if the filter is visible with the cover on.
Sounds like it is, and I don't really want that.

Second choice is figuring out whatever intake it is that will give me the round cover. Anyone know which that is?

Don't have a pic, but no it is not visible. I like mine.

 

I have a Ness Big Sucker on my bike. It's pretty nice but doesn't come with a K&N Filter. You can use a round cover or the ham can if you want. Zippers makes a real nice looking intake also. It uses a K&N filter and can take a round cover.

 

I think most of the aftermarket air filters that use a round air filter will take the round cover. I have a Doherty air filter on mine which has the round K&N filter on I bought a round cover for it. Have the football cover back on now cause it seemed like the round cover was vibrating more.
