The Wood 555 cam would be your man for the low-mid delivery.
Our Wiseco piston kit, complete with all Cometic gaskets comes with the ring end gap set, and installed.
That said, we would reccomend our Stage III Head(1.940" intake valve) to put the icing on the cake, for that very strong combination.

Would those heads work well with the 8 if I choose to upgrade in the future?

Yes they would, as we install a Crane 1101 spring, that'll handle up to/including a .600" lift.
If the 8 cam will be used, the compression needs to be set @ 10.75 cr to establish the output that cam has a noterity of producing.

At that compression ratio would i experience any issues with starting the bike cold/hot WITH OUT compression releases? i want a true sleeper so know one can tell the motor has been messed with.

I would highly recommend releases with those heads and cam combo. Your CCP would be just under 200.

fair enough compression releases it is!!!!, I am sure the difference between the 555 and the 8 is substantial but how substantial? and how much more of a cost is involved?

The mid-upper rpm pull would be much more with the 8.
Absoluetly no more cost, as when we cc/surface we set those heads for the 8.

Running a 8 in my 98 build and if you want to hang on till rev limiter thats your cam once it kicks in it just keeps pullin. With a 2-1 pipe once over 2700 rpm I have over 100 torque and builds to over 115 and holds it to almost 6k rpm. With 130 hp
