Default Please help: wrapping my stock sportster pipes

I have a 2011 48 and want to wrap my pipes. The dealership wants to charge me $268 plus the cost of the wrap but they won't wrap the mufflers. I want the entire exhaust system wrapped. I don't want to have any chrome showing. Is this a project that I can do on my own? I am not mechanically inclined. I have a basic tool set and the desire to do the work. If you can help me I would be greatly appreciative.

dont wrap over the mufflers that looks dumb... pull the mufflers send them my way and ill powder them black... wrapping pipes is so much easier off the bike... if you soak the wrap in water, go with the 2 in, start at the bottom of the pipe use a metal zip ties or hose clamp and work up towards the head, over lap 1/2 of the wrap as you go... when your at the top use a metal zip tie or hose clamp and your golden... wear gloves and long sleeves... and wrap it tight... also i HIGHLY sugest that you remove the heat shields and then wrap... not over the shields that just looks weird IMO... plus if you pull the shields you may have enough room to leave the pipes on the bike and wrap them however it is much harder to get a clean job... if you have any questions let me know...
