Thanks for the input, sounds like Ness might be of a lighter duty nature but more popular??

I saw this an a site that sells the Ness, I dont know if all of it is from China or just the filter.

Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage I $109.95

Arlen Ness kits include a Big Sucker aluminum backing plate, Team Ness High-Flow air filter, Chrome banjo bolts and simple instructions and all necessary hardware. This kit performs well, the filter element is a cleanable type. Note that this air cleaner is made in China.

The backplate on one I installed last week had Made in USA cast in it. Did not look for any identifiers on the filter.

I've seen both SE and Ness back plates fail in the past...none in the last couple years though.

WOW..I'm actually going to do the SAME MOD to my Arlen Ness Big Sucker backplate for my 2012 Street Glide. Great minds think alike!!! I may use smaller fittings though (1/8 NPT x 3/8 hose). Your look big. May i ask, what size they are?
