Vee Twin Performance Stage III Heads
What's up fellas! Wanted to post this info/specs for others looking to do head work. Flow chart below for head that were built for my setup.
Here is what I'll be doing in the next month:
S&S 106 kit, S&S 585 Gear Drive(not EZ Start), S&S Premium Lifters, Baisley LMR-002 oil spring & bypass plunger, D&D 2:1 Performance Baffle, crank trued & welded (maybe a bit lightened up too).
Done some research and gave Kirby at Vee Twin Racing a call for some stage 3 head treatment. Picked up a set of 2010 softail heads for $250 and had them sent straight to Vee Twin. Stage 3 was done w/ MCR's and their 175 lbs. springs.
Pic below are the stock heads I got from eBay
Now here they are with work done

Hey HD Bobber! You are making me drool! Are you doing anything with the throttle body - you might have said something before but I forgot? Who is doing the crankwork? Are you still doing the build yourself, including the crank install? Should be a nice build, I was leaning towards the 585s too, but decided to go a bit smaller.

The 106 builds with SS585 cams work well together.
I have em in my SS106 with stage 3 heads and my 113 with stage 4 heads.
The only difference between the engines with the SS585 cams (performance wise) is the 113 is smoother no big jump when the cam hits. You can tell when it hits on the 113 but it is not as noticeable.
The reason I think is the 106 has 88tq. at 2,000 and builds to 117 tq. as where the 113 has 103 tq at 2,000 and builds 134tq at 5,800
The 106 is fun to ride and has plenty of zip to satisfy most power hungry riders. it takes something serious to beat it.
Your gonna love it. When to go to the 58mm throttle body and injectors it will come to life. That is what I have in the 106

Always looking for a good deal, but yes that's the plan - just need to find a few days off and plunk down some $$. My last credit card statement had over 1K for various Harley parts, so I am trying to pace things out a little to not attract too much attention!
