Question Where to get rocker shaft shims???

Just like the title states....... I need to shim the rockers a bit. Every place I found is for some reason pre '90 bikes and I need it for my '09 big twin.

What's a good place where I can get different shim thicknesses?

you don't want to use the thin shims to space rockers, their a recipe for disaster.we use a fixture I made to counter bore the inside of the rocker support and use a .100 shim.pretty much bullit proof

Really, they would wear away and cause major problems? Learn something new every day.

One needs about .010" & the other .005" I just don't want them clattering around and I'm already way past budget!

Zippers performance has rocker shims.
They say install them on the non thrust side!

Alan rocker have end play side to side, so if there may be to much the bike will clatter with them moving back and fourth. So you just pull the rocker shaft out and you place the shim in to make up the space. I got the roller rockers used so the guy before probably ran them hard and the end play it a little more than I like.

One needs .010" and the others might just need .005"

Yah I say zipper has those but they only offer .007" and .015".

Just spoke to Kirby, so I don't think mine are bad at all. I will recheck them when I get home, but I rather have it be a bit louder than run a risk of a shim floating around my motor.

If mine really get out of wack I'm sending them over to Kirby to counter bore them and get them fit with the .100" shims.

To those looking for shims here is the place:
