Default HELP

I've got some kinda problem with my computer or this site.

I ran my spyware software, scandisc, defrag and virus scan. I also deleted my cookies. Now I have to log onto this site everytime (won't save the cookie) and I'm not getting my email notifications on my subscriptions anymore. I didn't change anything on my computer. I have rebooted too.

Any ideas?

Terry

Just a few things to try

When you delete your cookies, you remove the auto log on cookie that signs you in.

and one other thing I found out first hand

Go to HD forums in the address bar (type it in) and save the site into your favorites again after removing the old favorite that you may have in there. For some reason I ran into the same problem as I have the hD forums as the boot up page. When they changed the name of the forum, the old favorite that I had saved no longer kept me signed in.A problem much like yours where I had to sign in again.

TC,

It looks like that worked. I don't have to log on everytime I get on my computer. I still can't figure out why I'm not getting messages sent to my Email on my subscriptions. I did not change anything and I subscribe automatically to each thread I post on. It was working fine until I ran the spyware, scandisc and defrag. I did not get notification of your response either other than your PM.

Thanks
Terry

Possible to recheck your subscriptions, maybe they are tied into the cookie thing and the old url from the last name before the change. Try to uncheck refresh the screen and recheck what you had checked and see if you get the replies then. Just a thought.

What spyware are you using?

One thing I found out that when I got mail from HDF , that it came into my junk mail folder on msn, did you check your junk mail folder and also the junk mail settings, they may be too high.

Hope it helps you out.

TC,

I always get my hdforum email in my junk mail folder. I checked my settings and they are all ok. I haven't changed anything in my settings on my email or the forum. The only thing I did was delete all cookies and run my spyware and virus software. Can't figure this one out.
