Default Softail Suspension upgrade

Hello, My wife rides a 2014 Softail deluxe, it has been lowered an inch due to her height of 5 feet, she is 110 lbs and does not add much gear to her bike.

We want to upgrade her suspension to make long cruises on the bike better on her spine.

I am wondering if anyone has experiences that would help us choose the correct suspension, i.e. Air ride, Progressive or Works Performance, or even any other ideas or brands would be a great help.

I have read a lot about Air ride suspension which makes me nervous about going this way, I know she is a bit light for the bike but surely we can make it ride better than stock?

I suggest you write to Progressive and Works and ask them to recommend which of their products will be most suitable! Don't buy off the shelf, but find a dealer or manufacturer who will ensure you get a suitable product. It's worth spending a bit of time on the phone to get a good service, as Mrs L being so light presents a challenge to most shocks suppliers.

I assume you have already removed ALL the preload on the rear shocks since she only weighs 110 lbs?
